Stacie Preuhs was born and raised in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania where she began her dance training at Parkside Academy of Music and Dance and Swarthmore Ballet Theatre. Currently a dance major at Mercyhurst University, she has earned both academic and dance scholarships and is working towards earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance which she will obtain in May of 2020. During her collegiate experience, Ms. Preuhs maintained high honor roll and performed with the Mercyhurst Liturgical Dance Ensemble, SoMar Dance Works, and the Mercyhurst University Dance Team. Her classical repertoire includes The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, Symphony Italienne, Coppélia, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Contemporary repertoire includes performances in ‘Tis the Season, Raw Edges XX, and various choreographic showcases. She has also had extensive choreographic experience as she has choreographed her own pieces of various styles of dance for four different choreographic showcase concerts. Ms. Preuhs has attended summer intensives with Ballet Magnificat!, American Ballet Theatre, Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, and Swarthmore Ballet Theatre. In 2017, she was selected to perform with the Mercyhurst Liturgical Dance Ensemble in Norwich, England and in 2019 studied abroad in Dungarvan, Ireland where she performed in a dance concert for the local community. Ms. Preuhs aspires to continue her performance experience in both classical and contemporary styles as well as develop her personal style and skillset as a choreographer and dance instructor.
